This Spring I had the opportunity to work with some amazing suppliers on a romantic greenhouse wedding in the Yorkshire countryside. Harrogate weddings at Braisty Estate are so unique as it’s home to such amazing views of the Yorkshire countryside being both close to Harrogate and Ripon, and there’s also a beautiful romantic greenhouse which is the perfect setting for an intimate wedding. The shoot incorporated stunning decor and flowers too that fit with the tones and seasonality of Spring that is currently boasting warm weather and sumptious cherry blossom.
What really won my heart though, was the setting. I am a Yorkshire girl born and bred, so having the opportunity to shoot an outdoor greenhouse wedding in glorious sunshine in the middle of the countryside was so inspiring for me. I approach each of my weddings completely differently and getting to know my clients personally is something that inspires me greatly as a photographer. This same inspiration and connection can be hard to create on a shoot, however the setting and the Pride and Prejudice vibes I was getting from Adam and Helen really helped me to push myself creatively as a photographer in the first part of the day. Pride and Prejudice is my all time favourite novel and is in my opinion the greatest romance ever written, so I wanted to capture the love between them as a couple and I believe I was able to do that on the day.
A huge thanks to all of the amazing vendors and models that dedicated their time to capture some incredible wedding inspiration. Here are some of my favourites from the first part of the day, (I’ll post the second part in a few weeks):
